High energy efficient schools in the Mediterranean

 

Multi-issues platform utilized as an interactive Network for technical regulations management, technologies’ data base and dissemination of best practices.

Teenergy Schools will set up an Action Plan and a common Strategy based on the experimentation of: energy saving techniques, integration of innovative materials and renewable energies (passive cooling) for reducing costs and consumption. Moreover, the project will set out  a good practice benchmark based on data from an Energy Survey in the Mediterranean which provides representative values and compares secondary schools’ actual energy performance.

The Project will operate in four prominent countries of the Mediterranean, by organizations representing eight different territories and the distinct territories typical climate conditions referred to coast, mountain and city: Provinces of Lucca and Trapani (Tuscany, Sicily - Italy), Districts of Paphos and Larnaca (Cyprus), Province of Athens (Municipality of Kessariani) through the actions of the Prefecture of Athens (Attica) and Province of Pieria (Municipality of Katerini, Central Macedonia) through Athens University (Greece), County Council Of Granada (Spain).
